The weekend is upon us and that means it’s time to ask ourselves the important questions, like where are we eating?

Fall River Eats brings you a weekly roundup of new menu items, food events, and specials popping up all over the area. Here’s a quick look at what's being served up across the SouthCoast this week:

There is still plenty to enjoy at the Great Feast of the Holy Ghost, which began Aug. 23 at Kennedy Park and continues through the weekend. In addition to Portuguese culture and crafts, you can expect to sample the best of Portuguese cuisine. Don’t forget to stop by for some sopas (soup) too, and make sure you grab a malassada as well.

Sweeten the sting of summer’s end with a back-to-school cake pop bucket from Choco-Latte Cafe, 40 6th St., Fall River. The bucket includes six cake pops in your choice of flavor: chocolate, vanilla, marble, red velvet, funfetti, or strawberry. Buckets are $20 and there are two options for pick-up dates: Sunday, Aug. 27, or Sunday, Sept. 3. Stop by the cafe or message them on Facebook if interested.

Normally, restaurants offer drink flights. But Faneek’s, 269 Rhode Island Ave., Fall River, is switching things up! They’ve got hot dog and french fry flights, so you don't have to pick just one savory treat to indulge in.

Speaking of Faneek’s, you can now find Faneek’s Coney Sauce Mix at Stop & Shop. Find them on the local rack at the following Stop & Shop locations: Mariano Bishop Boulevard, Fall River; Rodman Street, Fall River; Somerset; and in Rhode Island: Cumberland; Lincoln; North Smithfield; Smithfield; Branch Avenue, Providence; Warwick; Post Road, Warwick; and Cranston. And there will be more locations soon.
