Established in June 1998, Schwing Stetter India is a 100% subsidiary of Schwing GmbH, a renowned German concreting machinery manufacturer, and part of the XCMG group. The company pioneers equipment manufacturing for concrete preparation, placement, transportation, and recycling. Schwing Stetter (India) Private Limited manufactures an extensive range of concrete machinery and recycling plants. With its global presence, Schwing Stetter caters to the requirements of infrastructure developers and is an OEM supplier to various cement companies offering ready-mix concrete.

At the inaugural Irungattukottai plantation drive, V.G Sakthikumar, Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India, led the effort by planting 30,000 tree saplings. In Assam, the Chief Guests Arup Kumar Mishra, Chairman of the Pollution Control Board, and Jadav Payeng, renowned as “The Forest Man of India,” initiated the sapling planting campaign in Guwahati. The tree planting drive will extend throughout the country, encompassing regions where major infrastructure projects have been successfully implemented.

Schwing Stetter India, renowned for its state-of-the-art concrete and construction machinery, has been at the forefront of transforming the infrastructure development sector. Embracing a profound commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, the company has significantly reduced its carbon footprint and adopted green energy practices.

The #GoGreenwithSchwing initiative aims to promote reforestation and mitigate carbon emissions by engaging multiple stakeholders, including employees, customers, business partners, and dealers. With the goal of planting 2,50,000 saplings worldwide by 2023, Schwing Stetter India is spearheading efforts to create a greener and more sustainable future. Chairman & Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India, Mr. V.G Sakthikumar, expressed the company’s vision, stating, “As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we remain steadfast in our commitment to sustainability and the environment. Through this initiative, we sow the seeds of a greener tomorrow, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the young volunteers working tirelessly for ‘Climate change,’ as well as CII and BAI, for their unwavering support in various states across India.”

On August 3rd and 4th, 2023, a total of 75,000+ saplings will be planted in Irungattukottai and Guwahati on behalf of Schwing Stetter India. The rest of the saplings will be planted in different locations in a phased manner, completing the ambitious tree plantation campaign by 2023. Schwing Stetter India’s sustainability efforts resonate with the company’s mission to create a positive impact on the environment and bridge the gap between the industry and the ecosystem. With each sapling, the company takes a significant step towards achieving carbon neutrality, leaving an enduring legacy for future generations.
